Blue skies are about possibility.
We believe there is still much to live for today and much worth working towards tomorrow.
Two missions. One shared purpose.
Blue Skies Ahead began with a belief that people living with progressive neurological conditions should have opportunities to enjoy life now, alongside the hope that research can improve the future.
Memory Missions is about making journeys and experiences possible with the people who matter most.
Research is about helping to advance scientific understanding and, in time, better options for people affected by these conditions.
We are at an early stage, speaking to people who can help us develop both missions responsibly.
Why I started Blue Skies Ahead
I have spent much of my working life in transport and logistics. I know how much planning, persistence and cooperation it can take to make a difficult journey possible. I also know personally what it means to live with a progressive neurological condition.
A diagnosis can change the path ahead. I do not believe it should take away the chance to travel, spend time with family or look forward to something special.
I am still working, living my life and making plans. Through Blue Skies Ahead, I want to help others have experiences they might otherwise miss, while also supporting the people trying to improve what the future holds.
We are only at the beginning. I would welcome the involvement of people with personal experience, practical skills or scientific expertise who share this ambition.
